Arriving in Toronto at Lester B Pearson Airport can be confusing and overwhelming. There are two main terminals; Terminal 1 or Terminal 3.
To check which airline uses which terminal, check out the following link - Airlines and Destinations.
There is a Link Train that connects both terminals.
If you arrive in Terminal 3 and want to go to downtown Toronto (Union Station), then you have to take the Link Train to Terminal 1. How do you get to the Link Train ... the signs are not clear but look for Gates DEF and you will find it. The Link Train runs regularly.
When you get off the Link Train at Terminal 1, you will will find the Union Pearson Express (UP). It is straight ahead and on the same track ... you cannot miss the signs. The cost is $12/adult and $6/senior. There are two machines where you can purchase your tickets. The UP stops at Weston, Bloor and finally Union Station. The trip is approximately 25 minutes.
If you arrive in Terminal 1, it is easier ... follow the signs to the UP Express.
